The foundation was established to change the world for the better and to ensure that empathy and mutual support are key values within it. Its foundation is the belief that by combining forces and resources, any goal can be achieved.
It is an organization defined by action, as seen in successfully managed fundraisers, educating, and supporting other organizations and individuals involved in charitable work.
The foundation is engaged in numerous charitable projects, both as an initiator, coordinator, mentor, and supporting organization. Among many actions, there are those focused on supporting children and youth, countering the effects of war, helping to level the playing field for people at risk of exclusion, as well as supporting junior sports and fighting for democracy in authoritarian countries.
The President of the Foundation is Mateusz Szymakowski, an activist and social worker from Wroclaw. Co-founder of Noma Foodservice and Cluster Manager at @shell, COO at Peak Hours Architects, and at the marketing agency leViral. Mateusz, with 15 years of management experience, focuses on charitable activities, utilizing strategic thinking and empathy in implementing projects for those in need.
To się uda! <3 Zrzutka.pl
The foundation was established by the Zrzutka.pl portal — a free tool for creating online fundraisers for any purpose (e.g., gifts, trips, starting a business, charitable actions).
Seeing the potential of charitable fundraisers and the need for education in good practices, the founders of the portal decided to establish the Foundation. Its main goals are to provide real help to those in need, operational support for individuals and organizations, and to educate and promote good charitable practices.
The cooperation with the Portal demonstrates how business can transparently and effectively support charitable goals. Zrzutka.pl covers the administrative and operational costs of the Foundation, ensuring that all the funds raised are allocated to the realization of objectives.
Like Zrzutka.pl, the Foundation is also based on community, mutual help, and action, both in terms of fundraising and transparent accounting of funds — so that everyone can see where and how the money was spent.
To się uda! in Action
The foundation runs several charitable projects each year. One key project is #PodarujWakacje, carried out since 2020 together with the Przystanek Rodzina Foundation, Akara Foundation, and Gioko company. Within this project, over 500 children from orphanages, foster families, and care centers have gone to summer and winter camps.
To się uda! has taken under its care the Jaszkotle Nursing and Medical Care Facility and supports it with various charitable activities. Thanks to this, ZOL Jaszkotle has become a showcase of how such centers can develop and successfully raise funds for purposes like photovoltaics or daily operations.
With the outbreak of war in Ukraine, the Foundation took on coordinating one of the largest actions to raise funds for the war victims. All funds collected through the #RazemDlaUkrainy fundraiser — 4,201,715 PLN — were used 100% in accordance with this vision. In 2023, To się uda! also started the largest campaign supporting the development and promotion of sports in Poland: Sztafeta Charytatywna.
